Nuestro Barrio Liberation Center is a hub in the heart of East Durham where the working class and immigrant communities build power together, through political education, culture, and organizing rooted in fighting back against capitalism and imperialism.
The crises we face, displacement, exploitation, endless war, are not accidents, but the result of a system built to enrich the few. Socialism is the alternative we organize for: a world where people have political power and the economy is planned to meet the needs of the people and the planet.

Nuestro Barrio Liberation Center is owned and operated by volunteers with the Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL), who built this space as part of the broader fight for a world without exploitation. Alongside us, volunteers from across our community help maintain the space and host the events, meetings, and programs that make it possible for Nuestro Barrio to serve East Durham every day.
We do! Nuestro Barrio is entirely self-funded, sustained by volunteer donations and fundraisers, not by corporations or foundations with strings attached. Financial independence means our accountability is to the people we serve, not to funders who don't share our mission.
